FAQ

Most wall tiles are not suitable for the floor due to their thinner and less durable construction. However, most floor tiles can be used on walls, provided that the wall can support their weight.

Tiling over existing tiles is possible only if the existing tiles are free of mould and mildew, completely level (including the grout lines), and there are no warped or oddly placed tiles that could interfere with the new layer.

To help protect the natural beauty of sandstone tiles, it is highly recommended to seal them. Sandstone is soft, porous, and prone to staining and fracturing.

Slate tiles need to be sealed to enhance water repellency and prevent staining and scratching. A water-based sealer that penetrates the porous stone is recommended.

If tiles are reordered and the supplier has run out of your specific batch number, batches of the same tile can vary. Natural stone tiles also exhibit variations in shade and thickness, so random sorting before installation is advisable.

For regular tiles, it is recommended to include a 10% extra allowance. For bathroom wall tiles and diagonal patterns, a 15% excess is suggested. Additionally, allowing for a 5% extra in case of breakage during transport is recommended.
